Every year during the Poppy Appeal, the volunteers cover as many areas as possible, collecting on the streets, in shopping centres and at Stations.
However, this year, as a result of Covid-19, many of the volunteers are understandably unable to assist, and reduced footfall in these areas means that the Poppy Appeal income is at risk.

We asked members of the public to mark this year’s Remembrance Sunday service on Sunday 8 November at home due to the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic.
The public were urged to remember all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice by coming together for a national moment of silence at 11am as the service was broadcast nationwide on BBC One, Sky and ITV.
John Maddox, Deputy Lord Lieutenant, came on Saturday 7th November at 11.00 to lay his wreath at the Streatley Memorial. Understandably due to Covid-19 restrictions and social distancing he wanted to do it “privately” with Rev Nigel Richards, Cllr John Farrent, Chairman Streatley PC and Cllr Sally Machell, Vice Chair Streatley PC.
